A vital part of Sajjad's work in the European Parliament is Chairing the Delegation to the EU-Armenia and EU-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Cooperation Committees and the EU-Georgia Parliamentary Association Committee (DSCA). In respect of Georgia, the role of the Delegation is to strengthening of the bilateral cooperation between Georgia and the EU and thus provide the basis on which Georgia proceeds with its reform agenda.
As the European Parliament's Rapporteur with responsibility for drafting new legislation on Audit reform, Sajjad put forward proposals in April, based on ensuring transparency, but not so frequently as to restrict a company’s competitiveness.
