Sajjad, who is the only British member of the European Parliament's Mashreq Delegation has held talks on the future of Syria with Ribal Al-Assad, Director of the Organisation for Freemdom and Democracy in Syria.
Sajjad has this week joined calls by the UK Government and other EU Member States for the European Union to dramatically reduce the regulatory burden placed on our businesses and to help promote economic growth and jobs.
Sajjad has today received support for his calls for the European Union to back a comprehensive trade package that will give longer-term economic assistance to Pakistan in the wake of the serious flooding that devastated the country both last year and again this summer.
